Referee Information

King United SC is committed to supporting and developing its referees. Referees officiating with King United SC are certified with the appropriate training and are properly attired.  In preparation for the 2019 Outdoor Season, the entry level referee course was held on May 4 and May 5

 


Small Sided Referee Courses

If you are 12 or 13 years old by March 31 and new to officiating, you must take the Small Sided Referee Course.

If you are a returning referee and you are 13 by March 31, you must re-take the Small Sided Referee Course.

Once you successfully complete the course, you will be able to officiate 5 v 5 and 7 v 7 games.

By taking the course, the student will automatically be registered for the season and does not have to register until the following year.


Entry Level Referee Course

If you are 14 years old and over by March 31, you must take the Entry Level Referee Course.

When you register for the course,  you must complete and print the online pre-course workbook and bring it with you on the day of the course.

Once you successfully complete the course, you will be able to officiate 5 v 5, 7 v 7, 9 v 9 and 11 v 11 games.

By taking the course, the student will automatically be registered for the 2019 season and does not have to register until the following year.

Please dress according to the weather, a portion of the training will be on the on-field.


 

Referee Kit Information

King United SC referees are responsible for purchasing their own referee kit, which must include shirt, shorts, socks, flags, whistle, wallet with score sheets, red and yellow cards.  We have identified a few vendors below:
