Come and experience KUSC's Summer Soccer Camp!

Recreational players born between 2011-2007 have the opportunity to learn, develop, and have fun playing the beautiful game this summer right in our own community.

The camp is run by our Program Coordinator Johnny Borsellino: 

As a Player:

  • Full Athletic scholarship to James Madison University NCAA Division 1 Soccer
  • 1 of 18 players chosen out of 350 by Italian soccer legend and World Cup winner Alessandro Nesta in the Miami F.C. Open Tryouts (2016)
  • Invited to Frosinone Calcio (Serie B, Italy 2009)
  • Ontario Cup Champion (Outdoor 2005)
  • Member of U16 Provincial Program

 As a Coach:

  • National B2 Trained (2019)
  • National B1 Certified (2018)
  • National Children’s License Trained (2019)
  • K.U.S.C Development Program Coordinator (2018)
  • Head Coach K.U.S.C 2000 Boys/2001 Girls
  • Pure Touch Soccer Academy Technical Staff Coach (2011-2018)
  • Technical Staff Coach Euro Development Academy (S.L. Benfica Youth Scouts 2018)

The primary focus will be on individual player development with an emphasis on fun! Mornings will consist of players learning technical skills such as dribbling, passing/receiving, shooting, ball control, and how they can be applied in a game. In the afternoon, players will have a chance to cool off and enjoy Memorial Park's Splash Pad and play small sided games and physical literacy activities.

 

Dates and Times of the Camp: 

Week 1: July 8-July 12   Start: 9 am Finish: 3:30 pm Pickup: 3:30 - 4:00 pm

Location for both weeks: Eva L Dennis Fields    (95 Kingslynn Dr, King City, ON L7B 1H1) 

 

All participants are required to bring lunch, sunscreen, plenty of water to stay hydrated, shin pads, outdoor shoes, as well as appropriate attire (jerseys, shorts, socks).

 

Tentative Breakdown of the CAMP itinerary: 

8:30-9:00 Early Drop-off

9:00-9:15 Break down of the theme of the day (ex. Dribbling)

9:15-9:45 Dynamic and technical warm up

9:45-10:45 Technical Training (15 min per station)

10:45-11:05 Snack Break

11:05-12:15 Small Sided Games

12:15-1:00 Lunch Break

1:00-2:00 Splash Pad @ Memorial Park

2:00-2:20 Snack Break

2:20-3:30 SSGS and Physical literacy activities

3:30-4:00 Late Pick-Up
