Outdoor House League Program Descriptions
U4 Program
These players start in late May/early June and will play their last games on Saturday August 22nd at the King Day Festival.
This program is for children who turn 4 years old in 2026. This is a combined boys and girls program. Each respective session will run for 45 minutes in length. This program is offered in Schomberg and King City (dates, locations, and times are subject to change). Each child will be given a uniform kit (jersey, shorts & socks) at the beginning of the season. Outdoor soccer cleats and shin guards to be purchased by parents prior to the start of the season.
Our objective with this program is to:
- Provide fun, safe, and enjoyable activities
- Provide stimulating activities that promote fundamental skills and movement
- To get the players moving and active, while experiencing the basics of soccer: running, dribbling, kicking, and shooting
King United Soccer Club is committed to the Long Term Player Development concepts outlined by the Ontario Soccer Association in conjunction with the York Region Soccer Association. For more information on the Active Start concept for this age group, please refer to Active Start Concept.

U5 Program
These players start in late May/early June and will play their last games on Saturday August 22nd at the King Day Festival.
This 45 minute/week program is for children who turn 5 years old in 2026. The U5 season will consist of fun, activity-based stations. The coaches will introduce the formal game concept which will consist of 20 minutes of 3-on-3 "games" that the players will experience in the under 6 age groups. This program is offered in Schomberg and King City (dates, locations, and times are subject to change). Each child will be given a uniform kit (jersey, shorts & socks) at the beginning of the season. Outdoor soccer cleats and shin guards to be purchased by parents prior to the start of the season.
Fun activity stations will be managed by coaches that players will rotate through. Our objective with this program is to:
- Provide fun, safe and enjoyable activities
- Provide stimulating activities that promote fundamental skills and movement

The children will practice for 30 minutes and then play 3-on-3 soccer games for 25 minutes with a 5-minute break in between. This program is offered in Schomberg and King City (dates, locations, and times are subject to change).
The objective of this program is to build on the first stage of soccer development from the younger age groups (while still recognizing there are players participating for the first time in soccer), and to continue to develop physical literacy while recognizing that individual skill development is paramount. Outdoor soccer cleats and shin guards to be purchased by parents prior to the start of the season.

U7 Program

Children will practice for 30 minutes and then play 3-on-3 soccer games for 25 minutes with a 5-minute break in between. This program is offered in Schomberg and King City (dates, locations, and times are subject to change).
The objective of this program is to build on the first stage of soccer development from the younger age groups (while still recognizing there are players participating for the first time in soccer), and to continue to develop physical literacy while recognizing that individual skill development is paramount. U8 - U11 Boys and Girls Programs
These players start in late May/early June and will play their last games on Saturday August 22nd at the King Day Festival.
The U9 program is for children who turn 8 or 9 years old in 2026. The U11 program is for children who turn 10 or 11 years old in 2026. U9 is a 5-on-5 mini soccer program, while U11 is a 7-on-7 mini soccer program, both divided by gender and age. This program is an intertown program with one practice per week designated in either King City or Schomberg (based on the location chosen at registration), and one game night per week (in either the King City or Schomberg area). Nights, locations, and times are subject to change.

U12 to U18 Girls and Boys Programs
This is a program for youth who turn 12 to 18 years old in 2026. Under 13 is a 9-on-9 soccer program; U14 through U18 is 11-on-11 full field soccer program. This program involves travelling for games and consists of one game and one practice per week (nights, locations and times are subject to change). Practices will be located in King City. Shorts, jersey and socks are included. Soccer cleats and shin guards are required.

Senior Intertown League - Mens and Womens
For male and female players born in 2007 and older. Both the men's and women's leagues run for 10 weeks. You will travel to other clubs within York Region to play. The game schedule will be announced in the coming months. Games will be played in the 11 v 11 format.
